The Center for Research and Development or CRD Nepal Pvt. Ltd. is the new name (Renamed on May 2023) of MountDigit Technology Pvt. Ltd., which was established in February 2001. Throughout its 22-year history, the company has broadened and diversified its scope to include the socio-economic realm, apart from its broad range of subjects such as agricultural extension services, seed and cereals, crops and pesticides, livestock, forestry and environment.

CRD Nepal consistently delivers services to a diverse range of clients, including prestigious organizations such as ADB, World Bank, JICA, SDC, and the Nepal Government. While initially established as an IT firm, CRD Nepal has significantly expanded its scope of work in recent years, focusing on the socio-economic sector, specifically in areas such as agriculture extension, forestry and environment, and community development.
The management team at CRD Nepal is composed of skilled individuals with excellent managerial capabilities, ensuring the effective and efficient execution of responsibilities. In recent times, CRD Nepal has established six thematic groups within the organization to enhance its work efficiency. These groups are Agriculture Value Chain, Natural Resources, Forestry and Environment, Democracy, Governance and Federalism, Planning, Policy and Economic Growth, Health and Population, and Information Technology. Regular meetings are held within each group to facilitate the sharing of ideas and discuss ongoing projects. These gatherings provide a platform for regular brainstorming sessions on critical development issues.
CRD Nepal has undergone a significant transformation in terms of its work scope and approach. It has successfully operated across all three ecological regions of the country, namely Mountains, Hills, and Terai, and has extended its services to all Seven Provinces. This widespread coverage highlights the company's commitment to serving diverse regions and populations.
